Resumen
Enjoy the natural colors of the Rainbow Mountain Cusco Trek, rarely visited, hiking through some isolated communities, where you can interact with local ordinances that still keep alive the culture! You will see snowy peaks, herds of llamas, glaciers and turquoise lakes, all within a range of incredibly colorful mountain. The walk is one of the quietest in the region and probably will not see another hiker.
The walk offers a selection of wildlife including soaring condors, vicuna, lynxes and pumas. The colored sandstone mountains in the Vinicunca area is probably the best thing you will see in Peru.

Resumen del Itinerario
Day 01: Cusco – Pitumarca – Quesiuno – Rainbow Mt – Quesiuno – Cusco.
Pick up from your hotel and transfer to the beginning of the road. 3 hours walking through the most isolated communities, and have the opportunity to interact with them. Enjoy the breathtaking views of glaciers, valleys and mountain rainbow iris more natural colors. Within walking distance: 15 km highest elevation: 5017 meters. In the afternoon, we take our transport back to Cusco
Itinerary
Day 01: Cusco – Pitumarca – Quesiuno – Rainbow Mt – Quesiuno – Cusco.
Rainbow Mountain Cusco Trek, Pick up from your hotel at 4. am, then let’s start with our incredible adventure , one day and set to a drive through South Valley. The drive to the trailhead in Quesiuno (4,326 m / 14,189 ft) is 3 hours long, a long way, there are stunning views of terraces of Inca culture, beautiful valley and Rocky Mountains.
Once we reach the train head, we start on our hike, following a beautiful stream. You will be amazed immediately by literally herds of alpacas and llamas. We will have consistent Ausangate mountain views. We’ll walk through villages and interact with the local people still keep alive the culture,
After a total hike of about four to five hours, we finally reach our destination, what we came to see … Rainbow Mountain Cusco Trek (5,020 m / 16,466 ft). After reaching the shock of her beauty, you will have time to explore the area. You will have time to take pictures and soak in the atmosphere. We will spend about 30 minutes on top.
At this point, it’s time to go back down. We hike downhill where we came. The hike will take 2-3 hours. Our private transportation will be waiting for us when we return.
We will embark on the 3 hour trip back to Cusco we leave the hotel in Cusco. Approximate arrival time is between 6 and 7 pm.
